I attended the University of Washington, receiving a BA – Business in 1965. During those years, I took undergraduate art courses as time permitted. In 1973, I returned to UW, earning a BFA in Painting in 1975. Since retiring from my day job in 2001, I have focused on the visual arts, occasionally exhibiting in the Puget Sound area art festivals, and the annual Unclad show in Stanwood (2005-2007).

I am attracted to and strive for sensitive, nuanced lines, which describe form, especially the human form, in terms of expression as well as proportion. The desire to draw, to paint – to engage in the visual creative process - is a part of daily life. I enjoy the challenge of drawing from the live model to improve my overall craft, keeping me grounded in evaluating my skills and abilities over time.
